MSSF Mendocino Woodlands Foray Schedule Nov. 10-12, 2017

NOTE: – Schedule is subject to update and adjustment.

FRIDAY:

2:00 – 11 PM: Check in @ CAMP #1, Mendocino Woodlands.

4:30 – 5:30 PM: Potluck Appetizers, (bring a dish to share).

5:30 – 7:30 PM: Dinner, (BYOB), (Leftovers saved for late arrivals until 10PM).

7:30 – 8:30 PM: Richard Kerrigan, (Dance Hall).

8:30 – 9:00 PM: Saturday Foray organization in Dance Hall.

Foray Notes:

There will be both long and short forays. The shorter educational forays will return earlier. The short educational foray lead by JR Blair and Paul Koski will be followed by an introduction to beginner identification of fungi.


SATURDAY:

7:00 – 8:30 AM: Coffee & Breakfast available, (Staff &Vegetarians Served First) & late check-in @ Camp #1 Dining Hall.

8:30 – 9:00 AM: Make Lunches.

Self-Serve lunch makings available in morning only, make your lunches immediately after breakfast.

9:00 – 9:30 AM: Forays Depart.

3:30 – 4:00 PM: Discussion at specimen tables with Camp Mycologist; Fred Stevens.

4:00 – 5:30 PM: Mushroom appetizer cooking demonstration by Andy & Gail Still and company! (Mushroom Soup & Grilled Mushrooms)

5:30 – 7:30 PM: Dinner, (A Fungal Feast), (BYOB)

7:30 – 9:00 PM: Robert Rogers Presentation, (Dance Hall).

9:00 Winning Raffle Numbers drawn and posted!!!!!

9:30 – Whenever? PM: Myco Mendo Mondo, Hosted by Ken Litchfield & David Gardella, (Main Lodge).



SUNDAY:

7:00 – 8:30 AM: Coffee & Breakfast available, (Staff & Vegetarians Served First)

8:30 – 9:00 AM: Lunch makings available. (Last chance to make lunches)

9:00 – 9:30 AM: Disscussion at specimen tables with mycologist Fred Stevens.

9:00 – 11:00 AM: All participants clean their own cabins / check out and depart by 11:00 AM.

Cabins:

11:00 AM – (Whenever) Self-Guided forays continue on the way home.
