Fall is finally here, which my brain equates to all things pumpkin and MUSHROOMS! I can’t wait for the temperatures to drop and the rain to fall. The smell of the wet forest and the euphoric discovery of something I can eat or simply admire. I can’t wait to be caught off-
guard when it starts to rain and come back soaked with a basket of goodies. I am hoping to have such an adventure and more at Mendo Camp this year, along with fellow familiar and new mushroom enthusiasts.
One of the greatest things about the Mycological Society of San Francisco is the people. We get to work together to create this magical mushroom experience for the mycology loving community. The best way to be more involved is to volunteer. From minor webpage updates to leadership positions, we can use your skills. Whether you are retired or work a full-time position, there is always something that you can do to participate. If you are interested in being a part of what makes MSSF magical, email
