Happy New Year, fellow fungus lovers! Mother Nature has blessed us with an abundance of beauty to explore this winter. Everything is green and the fungi are plentiful. I still get starstruck when I find a hillside of scarlet Amanita Muscaria. I hope that you have been able to get out and explore on those not too wet and soggy days. And I hope that you didn’t slip down the hill on those too wet and soggy days.

It takes a community to run an amazing, 100% volunteer, educational non-profit. We need more people like you. From minor HTML Web page updates to leadership positions, we can use your help. No matter your skill level or schedule, there is always something that you can do to participate. If you are interested in being a part of what makes MSSF mushroomly magical, email volunteer@mssf.org and let us know.

I hope to see you at the delicious monthly culinary dinner or the informative General meeting, if not in the woods! Enjoy this wonderful wet winter!
