Title
The Genus Boletus sensu stricto in the American Continent
Psilocybe and its medical use: health and ethical aspects to consider.
Description
The talk will be divided in two separated aspects as you see in the tittle.
The first one will contain information about the distribution and current species described or collected in the Continent. The scope is to clarify the fact that many species do not belong to Boletus ss despite being used the generic name, additionally mention the advances in the knowledge of Boletus edulis in America and its distribution.
The second part is focused on the current wish of using Psilocybe for the treatment of anxiety and depression, the most common internal affections in Developed and Developing countries. Despite the knowledge of its compounds and effects, it’s necessary to analyze the own genetics, the epigenetic response, and the personal stress causes to avoid a bad experience.
